I just want to put what Ford intended originally in the engine, as I have had plenty of problems with this particular combination; the solenoid has not been happy ever since I replaced the original starter.

This thread has nice pictures and detailed instructions, as well as links to places with bigger wiring diagrams, instructions and whatnot.

No, I think slapping a stock starter on there is pretty much the only way that I want to go. If it was good enough for Ford in 91, it's good enough for me now!

Damn, brother. With all due respect, that looks like WAY more work than I want to go into. Way too much confusion in that article to filter through, but lots of good diagrams so thanks for that.

Actually the wiring is a lot simpler than you think, its just one extra battery cable. You have two positive cables from the battery one to the fender solenoid and one straight to the positive of the starter solenoid. Then you have the ignition wire from the fender solenoid to the starter solenoid. I just replaced my cables yesterday, so i can post pics in the morning when there is light and show you what i mean.

Whereas, this one - "same" part number - DOES!
Pics would be appreciated fo' sho! Thanks my man!

Maybe 4ft of 4gauge battery cable and a long string of 14 gauge wire with a female connector, a stud connector (doughnut style) and some copper battery connectors to crimp on the ends. Ohh and a new battery terminal so you can bolt it all together, in total cost me less than 30$
Ill post some pics in the morning showing exactly what i did. But its the simplest starter wiring ever. And if you want you can go with stock, I'm just saying its more than possible to get a 92+ starter.
Just make sure you get either the starter for a manual, or an automatic.

Just in case you were itching and restless to see how its set up here is a rough idea how its all put together. With pictures
So the first pictures shows what the relay will look like, now there is that big ugly black rubber that goes to it (ignore it, its the wires inside it we want.) now there is the cable on the right of the solenoid, that a battery cable that goes directly to the battery.
The connector on the left is a smaller ignition wire, that goes to terminal "S" on the starter solenoid. The terminal "B" on the starter solenoid is a battery cable that also goes directly to the battery. Pretty simple huh? So to recap, two positive cables connected to a terminal and one small ignition wire is all you need.
