F750 Recreational Vehicle?
I am looking at purchasing an off road rig. A jacked up F350 in good shape will run $25,000 or better so I am looking at a few F750's. Wife says i am crazy lol. I think not. I was wondering if any one here owns one or knows someone who owns one of these. Here are a few of the canidates: Sorry pics are freaking big
#1 This one is a 2000 year model. 3126 Cat, 6-speed manual, 190 inch wheel base, mileage unlisted, $25,200. It says in the ad that it is capable of pulling a trailer with air brakes so I assume that it has air brakes, but I don't see a parking valve for air brakes in the pic of the cab.

#2 This second one is a 2008 model year. C-7 Cat, 6-speed manual, 200" wheel base, 116,277 miles, $49,500. This one has air brakes the ad says. But I still don't see any parking valve or any primary or secondary gages for the air. This one is at the extreme high end of my price range. Plus it is longer than the other. I'm not going for the length obviously.

I would remove the digger on the first truck, and they say it could be sold without it. So lay it on me. Just DO NOT tell me to look at a TopKick or Kodiak! The only other manufacture I might consider would be a Peterbilt 337, but those are going for $60,000 +

Ah guess I should have looked a little closer thanks for pointing that out for me.
No not going to do a camper. Wouldn't mind puting a coffin sleeper behind the cab though. Those earthroamers do look sweet though. I am thinking more along the lines of an offroad toy. I would actually want to shorten the wheelbase a bit. The truck with the digger derrick on it is 190". I would want a max of 160". But only if that could be done without relocating the MVG-750 Transfercase. Also I wish I could find one that has an Eaton 10 speed in it. If I were to do anything besides a flatbed behind the cab, I would go with building it into some type of trail rescue rig. Some type of utility body for storage. Outriggers at mid frame. Small welder/generator combo. Winches front and back and on both sides, 2 20 ton straps, tree protector straps, 2 6" ****** blocks. Emergency locator transmitter, maybe a Motorola MW810 workstation (kinda pricy), 2 way console with Low-band, UHF, VHF, , cell signal booster, Handheld radios and Qualcomm Telematics. Couple of high lift jacks, wood blocks, MatJak air bladder. The only problem is that if I were to build it into a recovery rig I would still want one that was a toy.

What kind of offroading are you going to do in a truck that big and heavy, just curious.
