Nokian Tires .... anybody got them?
So I'm in the market for new tires, decided on 275/65R20's (34")
Have looked and looked at the usual tires that most are running and have shorted the list to Nittos, Toyo's, Hankooks and Nokians.
If you look close at the tire specifications for the above tires, and really all manufacturers, the lightest tire that I have found was the Nitto grapplers at 61lbs per tire. Most other manufactures come in at nearly 70lbs/tire.
These new for 2015 Nokian Rotiiva AT plus .... come in at 51lbs/tire.
If you are interested, here is the link.

Look for the Rotiiva AT plus, about 3/4 thru the document.
99% of my driving is on road, no towing, no load in the bed. This lighter tire looks like it would be worth a look, maybe it wouldn't impact gas mileage as bad as the Toyo's (69lbs) or the Hankook's (67lbs).
Any comments appreciated.

I've used Nokians on my BMW for years. I purchased the studded Hakka 8 s for my F150 this winter. ... It was a fantastic season. Great traction, smooth and pretty quiet on a dry highway, studs have come a long way. But Nokian tires are fantastic. Can't wait for the Pirelli scorpions to wear out to change my April to November tires

I've run a lot of Nokians over the years (Hakk RSi, Hakk Q, Vativa, and Hakk LT2's). They are a high quality tire and they really focus on winter or true all weather performance. I am currently running the Hakk LT2's as winters.
