Remove FX4 pinstripe from 2013?
I am about to order my 2013 Screw FX4, and I want the 20" black wheels. The only way to get those is to get the FX4 appearance package, which gives some tricks here and there, but more importantly, means that there is a large decal stripe from the tailgate to the mirrors, and then straight down to the bottom of the door. I personally hate it.
Question: do you think this decal can be easily removed by a shop? One shop said the factory may put the decal on fairly soon after painting it, so removing it could remove paint.
The other option is to order the truck with 17" cheaper wheels, and then have to take off and buy 20" black wheels and new tires. But I'd rather just drive it the way it comes from the factory, plus for about that same price I get the red stitching accents on the leather and some other black accents. Thanks.

I searched for the wheels (Black 20" OEM) for a while before finding 2 sets. One was $2500 firm with used tires and the other I found in Oklahoma for $1800 with new tires. They are hard to find and most people selling them know this. Might be easier and cheaper to remove the stripe. 2 dealers here offered to remove it if I ordered one.

Easy....Peasey....
...First thing I did was peel off the giant "Hockey Sticks", Hood Graphic and FX4 bed side stickers on my 2013 Appearance Package truck
It was a warm evening when I did it....didn't even need the hair dryer to warm them up....
Take a look at the "before" and "after" pics and decide which looks better.
Oh...uh....and my wife would not ride in the truck until I took them off....

I made sales rep write me a due bill including removing appearance pkg decal, fx4 decal and ecoboost badge off prior to signing any paper work. I made them swap out w/ license plate holder delete at the same time as well(mine is EB). My truck is black and it's not all that noticeable but I just hate any stickers or decal on my car/truck. Body shop guy told me it came off real easy. Now line-x was whole another story... So far I'm having issues w/ dealer not coming through like they promised.. For the decal, it looks 10X better w/o it.

I've thought about "altering" the layout of the decal but haven't came up with a design that I like.
I have the black on black so I think it doesn't look that bad.
