Bulldog Keyless Entry/Remote Starter
So I finally got my KE/RS put in today, went in pretty fast but then I ran into a problem:
Remote Starter works starts and stops with buttons, no problems.
Keyless entry is kicking my butt, I found the unlock/lock wires without a problem (using passenger kickpanel as directed), I know this because with one of these disconnected neither the lock or unlock works from either side. I just can't seem to get it to lock/unlock the doors. Wiring Diagram Type C (reverse polarity) Relay Wiring
I thought at first I had the switch/motor side flipped so I swapped the wires, still nothing. I even flipped one relay, nothing, put it back then flipped the other relay, still nothing. The control unit makes clicking sounds turns the parking lights on with unlock, like it should, same with unlock except no lights, like it should, just doesn't activate the automatic locks. I'm stumped so am open to suggestions, I will be calling their help line tomorrow but figured if someone had done this already they could give me a hand.
I installed the same system on a 99 Cad Eldorado 5 months ago without any problems and was expecting this one to be easier, which the remote start was.

Saw a post within the last couple of weeks about programming the remotes - a unit on the passenger side of the column behind the package tray - don't remember exactly but there was something about a jumper, it'll cycle and then you can program the remotes ??? That's probably not quite close to right, but there is a post in the last couple pages that might be relative

Found it, that was for the factory keyless entry. Mine's programmed with the control module I just can't figure out how to make it work with Ford's reverse polarity locks. I followed both setups they gave and still can't get it to operate the locks. Called them today, left a message, they are supposed to call back tomorrow (within 24hrs) so hopefully they can lead me through this.

LOL, I'm retarded. The fuse was blown. Took a 2 minute phone call with one question " Did you just connect the wires or did you test first"
I just hooked them up, figured if they didn't work I would just flip the switch/motor wires. Apparently I hooked up backwards the first time and blew the fuse. Well maybe next time I will follow the directions better, maybe.
Besides my lapse in judgement this system went in really easy, RS1100 was what I got. Got it for $30 on ebay auction. Now my truck has moved into the 21st century, I just need to figure out how to re-route the wires for the power point to run only when truck is running, that way I can leave my heated seat cover plugged in and be super cozy from the get go this winter.
BTW for anyone else installing this you don't need the relays, just connect it like it is in the instructions.
