The tire size is 275 60R15, slightly less rolling diameter than the correct 235 75R15. I haven't changed the speedometer to correct for the smaller diameter. The drop kit has been on the truck since new. It is clearly marked (stamped) "BELLTECH" and when measured next to a standard f150 shows a drop of about 5 or 6 inches in front and 6 to 7 inches in the rear. Now, here is where it gets interesting. I contacted Belltech about ordering parts and the CSR on the phone denied that they ever made such a kit. This was not a misunderstanding on my part, as I clearly asked him twice. I ended up replacing both front springs because they were totally sacked, installed new eccentric bushings, control arm bushings and ball joints. All without re-aligning the front end. 16k miles later, no unusual tire wear, scrubbing or cupping, even with the widwe tires. BTW, just for the record, I couldn'tires be more pleased with the Cooper Cobra tires. They wear like iron. Thanks for the inquiry.

Very interesting read! Based on what I have learned here, I think i will go with the Belteck 3/5 kit with some overload bags in the rear. I want to find some 18 x 8* steelies offset -47 (painted red) with baby moons and a thin trim ring for an "old school look. 245 50 18 all around. That's 27.7" diameter, 9.6: wide with a 50% aspect ratio. I think I will drop the lower leaf out, as well. Gotta get rid of the 20s!

Starting point

Vast improvement in the ride smoothness. Would have gone with the Belltech springs up front but dont want the stiff ride and not much else available to lower and keep ride quality.
What diameter is your wheel / tire set up? The truck looks sick with what you've done.

Belltech 2/4. No rubbing whatsoever with factory tire size.

Flip kit rear, dream beams up front. It’s got a long ways to go, have a flare side bed for it too.

How well do these trucks respond to being lowered? I've test drove a lowered C10 back in the day and that thing felt like you were driving a car. That one also had the bench seat replaced with buckets that sat lower. IDK how much that helped.
I came across the DJM 3"-5" drop kit thats I-beams and the rear axle flip. My truck is a 2wd, regular cab, long bed with a bench seat.

The questions I have are
1 - Does doing that sort of drop on your truck make a significant difference? Will it give me the "wow, this feels like you're driving a car" feeling?
2 - Are there any other big parts you need to replace when using this kit? Like if you get it, you need new tie rods, bearings, brakes, etc?
