My 2018 F150, 5.0L V8, STX, with 15,000 miles on it has a clunk when going from 2nd to 3rd gear and 3rd to 4th. Tech checked for TSB's and PCM updates, found a couple of re-flashes but vehicle is up to date on all re-flashes. Checked for ECC test and no codes or updates, checked for GCSC reports and found a couple that updates fixed. Tech said there is no repair and I have to 'deal with it' until an update comes out.
My feeling is that it is coming from driver's side of motor and not transmission itself. Has anyone experienced this and found a fix?

If you really hate it, first have the dealer update your PCM/TCM to latest calibrations. If its still occurring it may be time to do u-joints/inspect for slack/play in driveline.
These newer Ford clunks much less than say a GM truck. My 2017 Raptor clunked when cold on downshifts and a new calibration at Ford dealer fixed it.
