There was a part number visible in the picture Liv posted I thought. We should run that.

Edit - Liv has already tried this and it's a no-go. Dang.

Lol, Safelite's price dropped another $10 today on the windshield. At this rate it'll be a bargain in a few weeks

I haven't closed out the Safelite webpage tab since I first looked and every day I refresh the page, some kind of session timeout period has happened and I click something like "continue with appointment" and choose the right windshield again and lo and behold the price drops.

Hey if it’s working that way maybe in a few days you can pull into Safelite for a free windshield replacement..... how awesome is that.

I can confirm Collision Warning works without the Hud installed.
Had my first Collision Warning this week, series of Dongs while passing a truck that was slow leaving my lane while turning into a driveway. Didn't know what it was at first, looked at the cluster and it said Collision Warning.
This is on an XLT with no Hud plug.
ACC is great.!

FordXLT, do you have any DTC’s for not having the HUD? I just got a 2016 501a and dont have the HUD connector either.

Just 1 in the CCM - says " Lost communication with the Hud"
No wrench- everything works fine, only see the DTC when I plug in forscan.

I installed the hardware for this today. I can confirm that on a v8 it is not hard to do it all without pulling the bumper. It helps to have an offset 10mm wrench. That’s the worst part.
I wired it from the passenger side across, starting from above. Worked well and allowed me to just pull the old harness as I went.
Now I just need to get power to the unit and see if it actually works.
