Is resetting the codes the same as clearing them? Would swapping a switch change my as built data?
Ok, so the as-built data does not match what is expected for the switch pack. That will definitely keep it from working.

My first guess:
Which switch pack part number did you install? I recall another member here who did the 2018 conversion, and initially used the wrong switch pack from a 2015-2017 and had this issue. Swapping to a 2018+ part fixed it.
The 15-17 switch pack and 18-20 switch pack are different because 18+ have ACC with stop and go.

Check if your as built is set to 12 or 19. You can also flip it to 12 and see if the code will clear and ACC works (temporarily). Resume will not work correctly as noted below.

Here is the writeup I did about identifying the correct switch pack:
(Thanks to NMMI82 for giving me this tip): Be sure you have the proper switch for Stop & Go:
Normal Adaptive Cruise Control (not Stop & Go): RES and CAN share the same button.
ACC w/Stop & Go: RES and + on the same button and CAN was its own button.
The ACC only switch will cancel Cruise Control entirely when trying to resume. It will also require SCCM as-built config set to "12" instead of "19".
The proper switch for 2018+ is JL3Z-9C888-FA / JL3T-9E740-FAW / SW-7903.

I installed the FL3Z-9C888-BA, and I think that's the problem. I ordered the FA switch and will get back to you all. The website said the BA switch was compatible, but that doesn't seem correct. I will post back if this works. Thanks.

Yes, I am 98% confident that is the wrong part and causing the DTC and preventing ACC from working. The FL3Z prefix is saying it is for the 2015-2017 gen, while HL3Z is for the 2018-2020 gen trucks.

I would order the 2018 part number I listed and that should get it working again.

Simple way to tell is whether RES/CAN are on the same button. If they are on the same button it is the wrong part for 2018+ and will not work.
You can verify by flipping the As-built as I noted above.

This was indeed the problem. The FL3Z part worked for all 2018s except the Platinum, and I needed the JL3Z-9C888-FA. Took a while to get here, but it finally did and I installed it yesterday. All is working again, thanks for the quick replies and help.

Nice!! Another issue fixed!

However, for clarification I actually do not agree with the comment about FL3Z working for all 2018 except Platinum. All 2018 that have ACC are the same system and need the HL3Z switch assy. 2018's with ACC all have stop and go, while 2015-2017 do not.

If the dealer told you that in order to explain why they gave you the wrong part, they are blowing smoke... :-)

Add me to the list of a working Adaptive Cruise Control system on a 17 Lariat 501A.

Thank you all for the efforts!

Were you ever able to get this working without the HUD wire? I'm in the same boat.
