I'd be happy to do it for you, but there would be a charge. I commute to Houston quite often. You would need to PM me to set-up the details.

Well, when somebody else actually completes this Mod could they post detailed instructions? I think most of the guys on here probably wouldn't tackle this if they weren't sure they could handle it, I don't have the access to look a lot of this stuff up and before I take my truck to my mechanic to do the programming I want to have everything mounted and ready to go to minimize his time involved.
Thanks

That is exactly what I plan to do. All of my parts other than the wheel, thus controls, have shipped. Once all get here, I'll install and take pictures along the way.

As for the programming, that will take time to figure out, but I'll get there and post what's needed to be done.

I'm waiting for my parts to arrive also. Should be here in a few days if not today.

Livinitup has given me some changes to try with forscan and we'll see if it works.they look good comparing them in asbuilt hacker. But I'm keeping them to myself until I know they work. No sense tossing them out if they don't work. Livinitup will also have to give me the OK to let them out into the wild since its his work. He'll probably just put them on the Google excel sheet once they're confirmed.

You will need IDs/vcmII to calibrate the sensor or pay your local dealer to do it.

The rest is just bolting on parts, snapping in plastic pieces and plugging in wires. A fsm would help if you don't already have one.

My truck is also a 502A, which I also believe ebmorgan's is. Not sure of it's just a "bolt on" affair on lower trim levels due to wiring harness differences....

*Edit - dealer just called. Parts are in. Time to abuse the visa card a little more.......

I have a 2017 2.7 EB 502A and I know guy that has all the latest technology in his auto shop, I was planning on doing the install myself and then go to him for the IDS stuff. I didn't want to get all the extra that the ACC required, but my wifes Edge has it and we both use it driving her car... a couple years ago I used it to go from Chicago area to Upstate New York, had it on the whole time and the only time I hit the brakes was for rest stops.

I'm certainly not and expert with IDS, but all Ive been able to do is load a complete as built file to a module with it. Which means you have to program things from another trucks asbuilt file.

There's lots to mess with: abs, sccm, bcm, ipc, ccm, etc. Forscan allows you to make changes to individual lines of text.

EBmorgan uploaded a complete asbuilt file from another vin IIRC.

Not trying to discourage you, just making sure you know what you're getting into.

That's why a step by step guide would be appreciated (we have a saying where I work, "it's not rocket science, it's just nuclear fission"). Before I jump in I like seeing how deep the water is?

At this point, you'll have to be one of the "pioneers".

EBMorgan is the first (that I know of) and I only know of a few like myself that are investing the money to try and replicate it.

If you want "safe", I would suggest you wait another couple months to a year before plunking down your cash.

The easiest process should be reasonably sorted out by then....

Part of what I do for a living is assessing the technical information I provide others is within legal guidelines, everyday as an engineer. For this reason, I am skeptical of putting out how-to instructions. Most people would be okay, but it's a young kid with just enough tools and resources to put this technology on, and for some reason hurts themselves on the road - or worse - others.

There is enough information on this thread to complete the mod, with the exception of one change in the ABS module.
