Tried it tonight on my 17 - first try looked like it was going to take out the mirror on my drivers side. Second try between garden edge and car worked absolutely flawlessly. No issues detecting spaces at all.

I want to see a video of this whale of a truck parking itself, from both the driver's perspective and from the outside.

The expression on the driver's face while this is executing is similar to someone's face about to jump off a bridge bungee jumping for the first time lol.

*lightbulb!* Ohh, please also record your facial expression while doing this!

(Seriously though, I wanna see it in action)

So I'm building an F150 and decide against the park assist feature if it only included parallel parking. Then I find this thread and......?

It looks like it can be added, but how well does it work? I realize my sample size of 2 or 3 folks is small, but any information is appreciated.

I'll have a 6.5 foot bed with towing mirrors. So while it would be great to have, it sounds like the technology might not yet be there.

Thoughts?

I have only used it once.. As I don't normally back into parking spots anymore as it limits being able to load the groceries into back of my truck. This would of been very handy years ago when I was working as I used to always back into spots.. It did work,, not a perfect parking job but it didn't hit anything... The parallel parking again not used often but does get the truck into spaces that I wouldn't try on my own.. I ordered my truck with it as it wasn't that much money at the time and thought better to have it than wish I did.. And I'm not sorry I spent the money.

I love the idea of perpendicular park ... standing my truck up on end would be awesome! Oh wait ... that's erect park mode.
