I have the Bullet liner in my 13. It does carry a lifetime warranty and was developed by the same man who started lineX. He sold LineX and to avoid legal issues developed the next generation improved product as Bullet Liner. It has held up really well and looks very nice on my truck.

I would like to expand your question to all Ford OE parts:
I wonder what the % off-if any- you get from the Ford parts sellers here on this forum?
What is typical for Ford parts websellers in general?
Do only Ford retail dealers sell OE Ford parts?
Does Ford place limits on what they allow dealers to do with online parts sales?
As an e.g. of mfg's limits, I used to buy parts online from a Toyota dealer in Texas, some years back & the mfg made them stop offering the nice discounts they were doing at that time. They were doing several trailer loads of parts per day, in fact! Those discounts were better than a shop discount here in KY from dealers.
Thanks!

BUMP!

Some of this is true and some is not true. The Burtin family started LINE-X in the 1980's, sold LINE-X (but not to avoid legal problems), and started Bullet later. The Burtin's have been involved with urethane foams (which is different than bedliner products) since the 1960's and still remains their main business today. LINE-X and Bullet were/are offshoots and are not the Burtin's main business focus.

Bullet is not a bad product, it's better than LINE-X was when the Burtin's owned LINE-X, but today's LINE-X, which is not the same as when the Burtin's owned it, is better then Bullet. In addition, LINE-X is way more diversified than Bullet meaning that LINE-X has roughly 20 or so products while Bullet has 3.

Several companies make an electronic thickness gauge such as Elcometer and DeFelsko. However, they cost about $950!

I did not mean to imply he sold it to avoid legal issues. I meant he developed the new product under a different name to avoid legal issues about selling the same thing under a different name.

Not sure how to prove which is better and dont really care. The Bullet product is really nice and seems to hold up better than my dad's linex did. I can tell you as a manufacturer of machined parts just the number of products you make does not make them better. Mostly I think liners perform based on how well they are installed and the attention to detail by the installers.

I agree, line-x, bullet, rhino, whatever....most of us will never use the beds to their full potential, but the install def makes the difference!

Default Bed lights

Hi, my first post. When open in bed (not extended or stowed/collapsed) how difficult is it to get to the light button, I see you noted it doesn't affect output much. I will have it this way 90% of the time. Thanks in advance.

I went out to my truck during the lunch break and pulled outta the parking garage to get you some pics The button is even easier to reach when the extender is open than when it is stowed.

I have the factory spray-in liner, so you'll notice the nice big FORD logo on the front of the bed that they included with that option. So far I'm very happy with the quality.

Default Thanks

You da man, thanks for quick reply, is it difficult to access the button when in open position in bed? Seems you have to go over it to access?

Thanks, this site is great.
