I used a claw hammer and it popped off after the second pull. I didn't glue my ball back on, just used a grinder on the new end and used pressure to hold the ball on. A couple good spear throws down onto a piece of would will suffice if you do it properly.

Then I painted it to hide a few scratches. Zero cost and 10 minutes of my time.

I've had a Cravenspeed Stubby on mine almost since the day I rolled off the lot. Just this month (10 months in) have noticed a slight drop in FM reception, not sure the cause. But, I typically listen via USB audio & only do FM for the morning show on my drive in to work.

Also, I'm in Houston, so FM signals are pretty good here.
