I'm toying with the idea of getting a winch for my truck this year, but want the versatility of being able to use 1 winch on the front or rear of my truck, depending on my needs. After searching, I can't find any pictures of a front receiver hitch on the newer F150's. Does anyone have one, whether it be a lone addon or built into an aftermarket bumper or grille guard?
Thanks. I saw those, but would like to see how they're mounted to the front. I'd prefer for it to be somewhat hidden and not have to sacrifice the approach angle of the front of the truck by having it go under the front bumper. I'd prefer for it to go through the front bumper.
Put a ranch hand bumper on my '05 super duty, it had a front receiver but was never used, and the receiver did protrude ~3" from the bumper, would've hurt any suicidal deer or those park improperly. Bumper was nice to stand on when doing anything under the hood though.
I built my own on my prev truck. Used it for winch and bike carrier. I could only find the underslung variety. Mine came out behind the license plate. It was bolted to the front crossmember.
Thanks everyone. I really wish I could find one to go into the bumper, like pictured below. I might have to go with the replacement bumper or go the custom route, like Feathermerchant.
