I bought the iottie for my 2018 F150. Its the best cell phone holder I've ever used. It automatically clamps your phone in when you press it into place. It has never slipped out. The phone doesn't bounce around while you drive, so you can read your maps. I've used it on a road trip from Oregon-Arizona-South Dakota-Montana-Oregon. I've also used it on dirt roads, it still held the phone perfectly and the device stayed suctioned to the windshield with ease. I bought another one today for my girlfriends car. It cost about $25 and is totally worth it.

Ideally I’d love to set up a Ram mount on the built industries rack that has a charger built in. Like a cradle dock. Then run that wire through the center console and poke it out into the cubby and plug it into the USB port. That way when I get in the truck I just slide the phone into the mount/dock and it goes directly to car play. Does that make sense?

problem is I can’t find Ram style phone holders that have dock style charging built in.

Lots of luck with the magnetic ones. Rarely falls off. Super easy to install and use. Put it in all my vehicles because it was so cheap and effective. Have used this for ~2 years now. No complaints.

I went with Pro Clip. I don’t love the big strap across the dash but it works great.

Check out panavise. They make custom fit ones that install on the right side of the 8" head unit. I used one in my 2014 and loved it.

I love my ProClip.....really the only drawback is it isn't cheap, rather expensive. So expensive I almost didn't buy it, but I did and now I do not regret it!
ProClip Device Holder NOT included, sold separately I have the Note8 so I had to buy this to go w/ it ....so all it cost was $78.48 when I ordered it.

Builtright/Ram. Not attractive, but effective.

For the very few times I need my phone for navigation, I simply set it on the ledge behind the steering wheel. Not ideal, but it works. I may order the Weathertech to be on the safe side. I like that it simply sits in the cup holder.

I just plug my phone in to my truck and use Android Auto. There isn't much use for seeing the phone once Andriod Auto is in play.
