That Garmin looks familiar, NuviCam? I find that cubby under the center stack works great at holding the phone. Toss it in there and close the lid, will stay put and out of sight. I can even plug the USB in and charge it while driving.

Do I need a specific app for that to work? I am talking about playing music stored on my phone, not streaming from spotifiy or pandora.

I clearly need to do more reading about the hands-free stuff...

If I am not using Android Auto, my phone is in my belt holder. If I am using Android Auto, the phone is lying inside the cubby with the sliding door.

I...don't store music on my phone freestyle exactly, or whatever, I either use Sirius (have had it in my cars for years and years, but as phone and car tech advances I may not keep it going forward) or Amazon Music via Android Auto, which I can control on the Sync display in the dash whenever the phone is plugged in (android auto automatically launches and does its thing ready to go when plugging the phone in)

Whatever you need I'm sure you either already have or can get in the play store in like 30 seconds

I guess because I don't have the hands-free thing figured out yet

Cool. I liked the free sirius radio, but the more I listen the more it just reminds me of regular radio which drives me crazy (same bands, same few songs, etc). I'm a quick study, so I'll just read more and get the hands-free thing figured out, then I wont need a cup holder.

I've had Sirius for years now. It is the same bands and (relative) handful of songs on each station. The advantage is that there are no commercials (there are yabbering DJ's talking about their weekend like I care), there are FAR more channels, and you never drive out of range of your stations

Yeah, the clarity is a nice feature, but $16 a month? I've only had my truck for a month and I have heard the same Alice cooper sing 3-4 times, WAY too much KISS.

I often play my favorite artists through Pandora which blue tooths off my phone and I can change songs on my watch if I want or the radio.
