Typically I also just throw my phone in the cubby on the dash, but for longer trips I have the following. It allows for easy mounting in the 12v with no adhesive on the dash. It is also a wireless charger so I can have my phone plugged into carplay and still have it charging.

sorry about the crappy pictures, shop lights washing everything out.
Who makes that? Been looking for one but none mount in a useable place, I've seen some mount below that area but I can't on my Plat with the trailer controls right there or blocks other stuff elsewhere. That doesn't look bad though...

I have the same trailer controls as you, they arent blocked. Just put the phone in the cup holder while using trailer back up, brakes or gain adjust. Phone attaches magnetically, or however you wish to attach it to the mount. (mentioned earlier in the thread) the mount is the Pro-Clip console version for non-console shifter F150 but it works with console shift, plenty of room.

I dont like cell phone holders cause i like the vehicle to look stock and clean. I have driven for 5 years with my phone simply in the cup holder (tundra) but something about the cup holder on the F150 didnt feel right, maybe its deeper? it swallows the phone.

Their website (from the link you provided earlier in the thread) specifically states that this is NOT for models with center console shifter (which I have), but yours has the center shifter, I only ask to make sure you linked to the exact same holder you actually have before I order it and find it's the wrong one.

Yes, they tell you it will not work with with console shift but it does. That is the one.
I used this magnetic adapter to attach to the proclip to hold the phone.

Only problem I have found with these holders is the cradle aren't deep enough for my phone. I have a google pixel 3XL with a rather bulky 2 piece case (I drop it a lot) so I need the case, then I have one of those little stick on pop ups so I can hold it so I can't put a mag mount on the back. I like the bracket OP posted but haven't seen a cradle that will work with my phone. My XLT doesn't have the center console my STX had so I'm stuck having to put it between my legs when driving or in the cup holder which due to the case, it doesn't fit well.

Yeah and and I would have phone plugged in which messed with my connector now on the phone in cup holder even though I would try to have it more sideways to avoid the cord/adapter hitting while driving. So then I was using the retractable lid with phone sideways, as there's that lip on the lid. If something would hold the phone there would be perfect. Odd on trucks like this with all that space, that there is like no logical phone mount placement, either blocks stuff or its in an awkward position looking at photos on here.

I just finished installing my phone setup with the ProClip console mount which I frankensteined with a QuadLock wireless charging mount. I basically just jigsawed off the very end of the mounting portion of the QuadLock car mount and screwed it to the top of the ProClip. It's close but my phone still clears the shifter in landscape mode by a couple of mm when shifting in and out of park.
