Scotch locks are awesome if you use them correctly. And by correctly I mean you open the package and immediately dump it in the trash. They are for people with no electrical ability whatsoever.

The only time I use them is for a temporary thing or a trial and error test. But never for anything intended to be permanent. I prefer to solder and heat shrink tube.

That looks really good. Definitely a nice upgrade over the unpainted 2x6 I've been using.
Picked up alot of good ideas in this thread so figured I'd contribute.
I bought two led light strips a couple years ago and used 1 on my side by side as a dome light. I saw it hanging there Sunday where it had been since I got it and a light just went off in my head.

For under $50 I've put in LED fog light bulbs, a Lexerd screen protector, and need to replace the stupid license plate lights with LEDs.
