Any tips on how you plastidipped the emblem and kept the "Ford" lettering looking so clean?

I sprayed the entire emblem with plastidip black- 5 coats. Once it was dry, I picked the letter with a toothpick and slowly started peeling. When needed, I used an x-acto knife to cut the letters. Then I used plastidip smoke over the whole thing- 2 coats to get rid of the shiny chrome. Finally, used plastidip gloss over the whole thing. Then I removed all the taping/paper.

My advice, only pursue this thread. Stay away/out of the other threads or your cost will be in thousands-->

Although I rarely use it as a step, I find a Hitch Step is a great "bumper extender" in city use. Instead of damaging my expensive bumper, things like errant grocery carts hit it first.

I trimmed my antenna today, to keep it from hitting my garage door. Best $5 (for black spray paint) mod so far.
