If you aren't interested in hearing others' thoughts, I'd suggest you remove yourself from the Internet. My opinion is my opinion and yours is yours. 9 year olds in a booster seat is idiotic.

In the interest of why I've been a member of this site for many years, I I'll provide for you the information needed to make you a better informed consumer and F150 owner.

I'm familiar with the laws. I regularly transport children and I follow the rules that their PARENTS set into place/using whatever seat they provide. My issue, really, is legal overreach in telling parents what to do. Providing suggestions and guidelines is great, but the law needs to stay out of parenting. It's the parent's decision as to how old a child ought to be before they can just use the regular seatbelt. It's not the job of the government to establish rules, safety or otherwise, for raising children. Nanny state.

(Note: my opinion is partially influenced by not being from a family of little people. The advice your website gave was for no children under 12 to be in the front seat.... by the time I was 10, I was bigger and taller than my mother. By the time I was 12, I was full adult size.)

P.S. if going 70mph in a car with a baby in your lap is dangerous (I agree it is), then why is going 500mph in an airplane with a baby in lap fine?...

Anyone have a suggestion for an under-$50 tail gate mat? I feel like I'd be a sucker to pay the prices they are asking for a hunk of rubber with holes.
