I have these an love them. Make sure you clean well and use adhesive promoter as well. They don't send you enough. When you buy them from amazon, then buy more promoter.

Have wanted something like that but was skeptical of the adhesion.

I purchased the Red Hound sill plate protectors first, but couldn't get them to stay stuck on, wasn't impressed with the quality also. I purchased Ford OEM sill plate protectors, part # CL3Z-15132A08-AA (come 2 to a set) and put them on my 2017 crewcab. They work just great and no problem with staying stuck on. I did trim the length a little shorter in the back. They come originally on the 2011-13 model F150, but work just great on my 2017. I did have the running boards sprayed with line-x also.

Received mine today and it's nice, but, it's not easy to remove so you can get to stuff underneath it, especially while driving. Also it doesn't allow a wire for electrical access to the "cigarette lighter" plug(s) below. I'm now thinking that just adding another of the stock holder would be best.

I know it wasn't under $50, but would you mind letting me know how much it cost to have your running boards sprayed? Mine are chrome and drive me nuts.

I've seen this posted elsewhere here but I filled in my tailgate lettering for a nice extra touch this past weekend.

It cost me $200 and they sprayed it with the premium line-x. I really like how they turned out. The chrome on them was driving me crazy also, trying to keep them clean looking.
