If you have to ask.......

Seriously, if MPG is your main concern then stick with stock tires or tires that are similar to stock.

No, mpg is not my main concern but it is a consideration. I guess I am impressed we made it to page 2 before I got a worthless, unhelpful response though...

im thinking about doing the same thing with my 18s...a loss of 2mpg though would suck. Hoping my 3.73 would lessen that a bit

Went from 275/55/20 stock to 275/60/20 bfg and did not notice any significant loss in mpg's.

How was that worthless? I had a 2001 Dodge Ram that got 14mpg. I put mudder tires on it and it dropped to 10-11. I didn't care because I liked the look, and liked the offroad performance.

All I am saying is that if MPG is important to you then don't mess with it. Bigger tires, more aggressive tires, lifts, etc, all have an impact on MPG. And don't believe the <1mpg predictions either.

Perception of the comment made it that way lol

Going up an inch and a 1/2 and a bunch of weight I knew I would loose MPG, did it anyway and was surprised how little it went down.

I did add my input so the OP could keeping the stock size would be less than me after going bigger.

Admittedly I drive as aggressively as mudders look! LOL So my MPG loss is probably why more than most. But I get crappy MPG with my driving style anyway.

I find it very hard not to drive like I want to. I drive like an old man, minus the complete lack of attention.

did you need any lift for the 275/70/18?
