It's already high enough for my taste, between increasing by 2 sizes of tires and leveling kit it raised the truck about 3 inches.
I use the truck daily and loading and unloading kids is a pain if I went any higher.
I hear you, which is why I keep thinking of just going 1" lift in the front... I lowered the rear of my stinkbug-stanced '16 XLT 4 X 2 when I got it, but have since added Roadmaster Active Suspenion to the rear leafs... a byproduct of which is a slight to noticeable increase in ride height depending on the amount of preload. I constantly have +/- 400 lbs in the bed at all times, all of which complicates the dialing in of rear ride height when I try to explain my setup.
Guys any final outcome on If the 5100 rubber boot have to be towards the bottom ? My shop is telling me there is no rush there way to fit it. Should I change position or leave it ?

There never was any need for an outcome.
From the start, *in the printed Installation Instructions* supplied by Bilstein, boots go on the bottom.
As 5LEETR just noted, too, the Bilstein logo will read right side up.
Who did this install? When you flip them to the correct orientation, be sure to have the truck sitting on the ground, at it's normal ride height, before you torque the fasteners.
Thanks guys. My local shop did the install. I even told the guys before the install and he said there was no other way due to the bolts. Gotta take it back. Hope I didn’t damage the 5100
Change them... Bilstein says the boots need to be at the bottom. The logo will read correctly that way as well...
I had the Bilsteins installed at 4 wheel parts here in Houston, Texas and they installed the rear with the boot up. I may now have to ask why.... Where in the installation manual does it say for the boot to be on the bottom?
I've never seen that video, but in the single frame quoted above, I see an axle suspended by a coil spring/trailing arm arrangement, whereas our trucks use a leaf spring system.
