I asked the same question a few years ago when I did my install. Found one forum member who used the lowest setting and it netted him 1/2” of lift on the front end. I went the 1.26” route and got the advertised amount initially, after settling it came down to 1” over stock and is still there ~35k later. I’ve been pleased with the ride, might go to a Coilover setup sometime within the next year only because I’m getting the mod itch again. Hope this helps!
I think I want an inch up front. So I’ll set it at the 1.26 setting and hope for the best.
Installed Bilsteins front and rear. Front set at 1.76”. I wanted to keep some rake but also have enough clearance to add 1.25” wheel spacers to my 275/60r20 Goodyear Ultra terrains. This setup gives me about an inch of rake.
if u go 2.1, that's me and I'll tell u it's perfectly level sitting in the driveway with nobody in it and empty bed. So I'd recommend either block the rear or put it 1.75" instead
I have mine at the 2.1” setting and my rear is still an inch higher
I am installing 5100 on all four corners. Im thinking about going at the 1.76 setting in the front. Will I be able to fit 295/65R20 without any rubbing?
Definitely not. I have 295/60r20 on the 2.1 setting and had to cut the crash bars and trim plastic. If you’re trying to clear bigger tires put it on the max setting. The rear will still be an inch higher
I just did mine at local shop for $300 and alignment should be another around $100. Quote from dealer was $1200. I set mine on highest setting and now my fronts are 39.75” and rear are 40”. Perfect rake
Beautiful truck! It’s interesting how everybody gets different results. I have mine set to 2.1 and I have a full inch rake all day. I was hoping it would be more level but oh well. Had to trim crash bars and my 295/60r20 still rub
I have read at a couple of sites some recommending 5100’s in the front and 6112’s in the back instead of 5100’s all around.
Since this is all new to me, can someone explain what are the pros and cons of each combination?
I'm getting the front Bilstein's installed in a couple of days. I'm, of course, torn between the highest setting or the 2nd highest setting. My measurements right now are 37 5/8" in the front and 40 1/16" in the rear. I'm thinking if I go with the highest setting, then I should still have a around a half inch of rake. This already includes the weight of my tonneau cover and toolbox in the bed. What do you guys think? I know from other posts the shocks will settle slightly over time but from what I've seen, maybe 0.1" or so. I only tow a ATV or golf cart on my 5 x 10 trailer so I never tow much weight at all.
