I ventured out and came up with a similar version. I decided to use an aluminum angle iron and truck bed spray paint. It's pretty stable and came out well.

I just picked up two Rockymounts from Performance. I need to head up to store and pick up some hardware to mount them to the Ford cleats. I just noticed that the cleats are not flat which is why sisniega is using some standoffs. The difference is only about a 1/6" tho.

And, the hole centers on cleats are 4.5" and the mounts are about 4.75" so a number 8 screw will probably fit without having to drill out cleats or mounts.

Jfp530, if you have a drop in bed liner you may need a larger offset. I had to offset about 1 to 1.25 inch due to the ridges on the bed liner over the wheel hump. Also, I used 5/16 bolts and they fit fine.

I drilled out the Rocky Mounts and put 8mm bolts through. Seems to fasten up tight there. The issue is the boxlink setup itself is sloppy loose. Working on something to tighten it up. More later!

im using one plastic strap and now its pretty tight , its not the cleanest solution but it works while the forum masterminds find another fix

I wonder if one could source a couple e-track brackets and weld/bolt them to some angle iron. That would be a pretty rock solid fit.

Couple of those, a 2x4 and some bike mounts! I already have the 2x4 and bike mounts.
