I had the pipeline rack in my last truck and I am getting ready to order again. I have a 650b and the bike has to sit at an angle like you would a motorcycle but I can still fit three mountain bikes in the bed with the pipeline rack and the front wheels stay on. My truck has the 5-1/2" bed

Heres a link to them if you haven't heard of them before. I just reordered the 3 bike one of full-size trucks. Unfortunately i traded my other one for a hitch rack since i traded for an suv. I now have a truck again

This looks great! It is probably where I will end up as well.

Post up some pics when you get it installed. Right now I just lay the bike in the bed of my truck when I ride solo and on shuttle days with my friends I have a shuttle pad.

I used to just use a blanket as a tailgate pad for solo rides on my 2003 Screw. Quick on/off. Now my buddy gave me his old Thule Pad. I don't like the idea of leaving it on all the time, but it definitely holds the bikes in place better than the blanket did.

I will add some mounts for longer trips and lockability.

Right on Cobi. Yah I'm right there with you. I want to add something else for long trips also. I'm always super paranoid about leaving my bike in the bed unlocked. I just put the shuttle pad on when I need to use it, its super convenient to load and unload bikes and I can get 4 bikes across without anyone's getting scratched up.

Seems like the Tacoma community has alot more small fab companies making cool stuff. I wish we had someone that would make a piece that ties across the box link cleats like one of these

Nice looking truck (and bike) C2D! I think that was a close second for me on color choice.

I used this same setup. Still having trouble with the loose boxlink. If they were tight it would be perfect. I used zip ties which helped, but not enough. Any ideas?

Figured out a solution. A trip to Home Depot and 20 minutes work. The horizontal boxlink play seems to be gone, the only issue is that the metal rubs against the bed in two small sections. Not a huge deal really. Just a few small scratches. I plan on eventually spraying the bed with liner so it won't show.

Here is the pipeline rack in my truck. To close the tailgate I have to set the bike in crooked like you would a motorcycle but it works fine that way
