i had to cut out about a quarter moon shape at the inside of the bend...then pryed it forward till the gap closed, then put a "bandaid" around it, tightened it then put on the tip...about an hour of choice curse words. But it looks still looks good 60,000 miles later.

Here is the process I used:

Took off the stock chrome top, got a long pipe to fit in the exhaust end and pulled it back toward the rear of the truck to get the Corsa tips to line up with the bottom of the bed. Then I measured and cut the end off the factory pipe so the Corsa tip wouldn't stick out far past the edge of the bed bottom. Problem was, when I pulled the factory exhaust back, the Corsa tip was now too far back. See before pic:
I then cut a section out of the factory exhaust behind the last muffler hanger. It's the straightest and longest run of pipe I could see that would work. Problem with that is the pipe there is not perfectly round. Autozone has a exhaust tool kit you can borrow that has an exhaust cutter and pipe expander with it. I used the expander to better round out the cut pipe and I welded back together.
An extra set of hands is helpful to position the Corsa tip with the portion of cut factory pipe in the right position. I just welded it all around with the muffler and all in place, but I would have been able to do a much better job at my welds if I would have taken the extra 30 min to take the muffler completely off, welded and put back on. Make sure to disconnect the battery before welding. In hindsight, I would not have pried the exhaust back with a cheater bar to begin with (too much can go wrong with that), but cut a pie or moon out of the corner as mentioned earlier. Other thing, don't cut too much off the factory pipe in the beginning.
