I was deliberating back and forth about this for days. Read just about every post about exhaust and listened to all the clips. I just could not justify spending $1200 on a Borla S-type and so I went and got a Borla XS-Pro Muffler from Henry's muffler in Raleigh and it sounds fantastic. I wanted something that had no drone, loud when I got on it, and made me smile when I started it. This muffler swap checked all the boxes and cost $250 plus tax installed. There are guys running 650+ hp SC on stock exhaust so I figured it flows just fine. If it is purely for sound I would say save the cash and go muffler swap either Borla Pro XS or XR-1. I will try and get a clip for you to enjoy!

The Borla Touring sounds perfect to me. Also, 400 series stainless will get a rusty surface pretty quickly. 304 stainless only turns a little bronze colored, lasts forever and is harder to dent, so get all 304 stainless if you can afford it.

The best I can suggest is listen to youtube videos. Both Corsa and Borla use 304SS, and the quality of both exhausts will be excellent.
If you want a cheaper option that uses the identical Corsa muffler, look at the dB Performance exhausts from Corsa. Same 304ss mufflers with cheaper 400 series stainless steel tubing.
This is super helpful....do other guys who have heard all of these exhausts first hand generally agree with this ranking of volume?:
stock < Borla touring < Corsa Sport < Borla S-Type < Corsa Sport w/o factor resonator < Borla Atak

If so, I think Corsa Sport is what I am looking to do. Anyone install the Corsa Sport and think it was too loud? I will be with my wife and kids in the car a lot and really do not want any drone or any crazy cold start volume. From what I can tell from videos the Borla S-type sounds great all around but the bark on cold start was still really loud, too loud for me. If Corsa Sport is a little more tame overall then that is the one for me. Was also thinking maybe leave stock and add electric cutout but I think that is then too quiet all the time and probably too loud / unrefined with cut out open.

hey, after all this time of debating which exhaust to get, I chose to get the Corsa Sport, best decision ever. All I know is that u will not be disappointed. Start up cold is perfect, driving is perfect level, and no drone on highway. The YouTube videos on YouTube make it sound too loud. In reality, I’ll personally do the extreme soon because I want startup a little louder. Like I said, the sport exhaust will be prefect for the kids and was a great investment. I had a muffler swap before, sounded terrible. Hope this helped out

I went with extreme and I love the way this thing sounds on cold starts and at WOT it sounds like a screaming beast 👍

Perfect. Thanks for feedback. Ability to make it an Extreme down the road sounds like a good option if it someday it is no longer also a family car. Really helpful, will go with the Corsa Sport.

My Corsa cat back will get installed tonight when I get home. My plan is to drive around for a month or so and possibly install the Corsa mid pipe resonator delete. I'm super excited to hear the Corsa in person.

Compared to stock how much louder (I know that is a very subjective question) would you say this is compared to stock? I have a 2015 5.0, and would like a little more sound, but really don't want to hear it when I am cruising down the highway except when I step out to pass.

then you will want the corsa. That’s exactly what it does. It gets really quiet while cruising almost like it’s is back to stock.
