Default Diamondback came in today

My Diamondback HD bed cover came in a little while ago. Waited all afternoon for the delivery truck. Took off work 1/2 day since was to be delivered between 1 and 6 pm. Just my luck, the truck broke down and was delayed 3 hours. Didn't need to leave work early after all. I couldn't wait till tomorrow and mostly installed it a few minutes ago. I have the center section secured, the front and rear panels installed, and the struts on. I'll get the latches adjusted and right tomorrow. First impressions are very good. This thing is very robust and seems to be made very well. Like putting a vault door on the bed. I have no doubt items in the bed will be very secure and dry.

I'm impressed.

Thanks for sharing! I'm looking to buy a Diamondback SE within the next few weeks or so, and this post is making me wish I could pull the trigger sooner! Where did you order it from? I think I'll be ordering direct from Diamondback. No shops in my area carry them, and the prices for everywhere else online are the same as what Diamondback is selling them for direct, with shipping, so I might as well just order through them.

I ordered direct. Looking back, given I have a short bed, the SE should be plenty strong. The thought is the shorter bed will have the welded ribs closer together thus making for a stronger cover. The panels do have some heft to them as well.

High quality, well made and strong. Also the latch closes easier than I anticipated. I installed exactly as the instructions said.

I think I considered every cover on the market and kept coming back to the Diamondback for the security and dry fit.

I'd love to have the HD, but can't justify the cost since I don't have an ATV and won't go over the 400 lb. limit of the SE.

How long was the wait from the day you ordered it to the day it came to your door? I heard that it was at least 3 weeks.
