Default Drop in bedliner removal and linex pricing

Called LineX today for a quote on getting their standard and premium spray in. I believe he said it was either $575 or $595 for the standard and an additional $120 for the premium. Is this the going cost for a short bed? They also wanted close to $400 to spray the factory chrome running boards.

Next question how difficult is it to remove a Ford drop in bed liner? The guy on the phone made it sound like my 2016 may not be a good candidate too linex because it could be "rusted" under the bed liner.

No rust under a 2016 bed.
2015 and newer have aluminum bodies.

Sounds like the guy has no idea what he’s talking about. I’d hope he isn’t one of the installers.

That sounds like my bids 2 years ago. I went with a dualliner instead. Drop in liners are very easy to remove.
As for rust, go somewhere else because they should know better. 2015 and newer F150 body's do not rust.

The drop ins come out super easy, loosen it from under rails, fold like a taco and slide out the back. I've removed mine several times. No rust at all- we have aluminum beds

Had mine line x a couple of weeks ago, turned out fantastic. That's about the same price I paid. No rust on aluminum bed, they scuff up the surface anyway to prep for linex, took them about 1/2 day.

Did you notice scuffing of the paint? I’ve never pulled one out, but I used to pull up the center rear and could see a little scuffing, after around a decade. A Tacoma.

Check around for other brands. I had a Bulletliner sprayed in mine a couple of months ago for $475.00. I live in Maryland and prices do vary a little by region.

Has anyone heard of "reflex liners" spray in liner? There is a local place that does it here.

TRUCK BED PROTECTION PLUS CARGO PROTECTION

Reflex is a two-component polyurethane/polyurea hybrid coating. It won't crack, peel or warp and permanently protects your truck bed from abrasion, rust, scratches, and dents. The extreme flexibility of Reflex provides a rubbery non-slip textured surface that grips your cargo and holds it in place. It also resists gasoline, diesel, oil, chlorine, fertilizer, acid, and salt

Reflex is spray-applied up to ¼-inch thick, forming a rugged durable liner for demanding everyday use. Even in severe freezing temperatures, Reflex retains its rubbery surface and will not scratch or damage the things you put inside. Because of the rubbery grip, your cargo will not slip-n-slide as it would in a plastic drop-in or hard spray-on liner.

LONG-LASTING BRILLIANT COLOR

There is nothing wrong with black, and with Reflex you get a great quality jet-black liner or the option of almost any other color you could want. OEM automotive color toners are injected for unmatched UV stability and long-lasting brilliance. Reflex customers are amazed at the distinctive look whenever their liner is matched to the paint color of their truck.

Just got mine done last week. Line-X
$600 + tax 6.5 bed
My bed was scratched up pretty bad,
but looks so good now!
Check the reviews of the installer,
I drove a little further to an installer with great reviews.
