Default Emblem Painting

Hello,
I am a new F150 owner and thus a new member to the forum! I've done some reading around and I know this topic has been covered to great length... But I was wondering how people were painting their side and tailgate emblems and then re-applying them? I plan to paint the f150 side and rear emblems Lithium with black accents to match my truck. I know how to remove and paint the emblems, but I'm still curious as to how they can be re-attached to the truck after painting. Will 3M work? or is there a better way? Any help is appreciated, thanks!

Yep, 3m or whatever double sided tape for the side emblems, they also have clips that will keep it in place. I left the rear F150 emblem off since it does not have holes behind it and the tailgate has clips anyways.

I am pretty sure that most people are just using 3M tape along with the regular hardware that fits into the guide holes on the fender to attach it to the truck. The bumper will not require 3M tape as far as I am aware. The grill emblem doesn't require 3M tape either, but is a bit of a pain because you have to get the whole grill off the truck to finish it.

If you are painting the different pieces different colors then I believe the process requires breaking the small clips that attach them together and then using glue or a soldering iron to put them back together.

I will attach a link that has a helpful how to below. Also, there is a member here who used to paint these on the regular, but no longer takes orders. Not saying you have to bother him, but if you can find any posts where he gives tips I know he has done a great job. His name is mbullock and he has posted in this thread as well:
