Not sure of any specific for a 19 like you are talking about, but here is one of the posts that talks about later years: https://www.f150forum.com/f129/c-int...lowing-522428/

TSB 24-2126 has more information for the selected models.

if one person has the issue, its worth knowing about. The mere fact that Ford cannot resolve, is very concerning and should not loose the attention of all. JMO

BTW, who said anything about special service, its the great standard Ford service you get with an ESP.
As far as your earlier post about being "way ahead"' not possible. Your one time purchase of a 2K warranty guarantees you that any necessary warranty repair will be done. Your "sitting" on the money, will not! It cant and wont, investing is not that good! Sorry, you dont like them and we know that and never challenge your position, treat us the same way!
wow... your sample size is HUGE. Also you don't know much about money either. You probably overpay your income taxes so you can get a "refund"...lol

Assuming the new engine will have fixed this problem, but the main reason I am considering is due to the 10spd and what people have said about it on here. Plan will run be about 4K+. This is a 2019 F-150 XLT 5.0 V8 4x4. Still need to throw it in 4wd haven't done so since I bought it. If the majority of you guys have not encountered problems with the transmission or drivetrain, I'd rather save my money. He told me the plan covers electrical malfunctions as well, which is convincing. Let me know what you guys think! I'll be off tomorrow with time to run down to Ford to purchase if needed. Forgot the details regarding the length of warranty but will ask today. I drive this truck I would say about 7,500 miles per year, as I have another car.

I say NO!!! They are not. To the question in the title.

$4k? No.

regular price one without the $2k-$3k up charge, maybe…my vote is yes.

i also vote for $0 deductible and premium care. Anything else leaves the door wide open for games.

Aside from peace of mind you do also get the roadside assistance. My warranty was for 6 more years so if we subtract the $600 during that time that I would have paid AAA, the warranty costs me $1200. It seemed like a no brainer with all the electronics and the possibility of a transmission issue.

I'm curious, you didn't need it on your current truck now that it's hit 167K miles how about all the other vehicles? How much you spend vs. cost of covered repairs (if any)

I know you didn’t ask me, but if you are looking for a small sample side of data I can contribute. I’ve had extended warranty’s on my last 5 ford vehicles and my last 2 Subarus…4 F150s and 1 explorer:

Subaru 1: got a new transmission, well worth it
Subaru 2: traded it in before it was active , full refund

Explorer: got a ford used warranty at 90k for $800ish and they repaired the PTU and then replaced the PTU so well worth it.

F150 1: well worth the original cost, paid for a lot of repairs and still got a pro rated refund when I got tired of warranty work
F150 2: sold the truck before it was active, full refund minus $50
F150 3: sold the truck before it was active, full refund minus $50

F150 4: current truck, have ext warranty and currently this truck hasn’t had one issue, so as of now, looks like after 5 vehicles, might finally lose money on my 6th (but I still have 2+ years of warranty left so who knows)…I didn’t add up all the cost of repairs vs the cost of all the warranty but factoring in the Subarus, I’ll still be ahead if I don’t make any claims on this truck. Ford only, if I don’t need this warranty, I’ll be slightly in the red at the end of this one…
