Mine will have the 3.55 as that is the upgrade on the max tow package. Reading several threads the fx4 seems the be the question. Some say it is worth it, others seem to say the shocks are the same and the skid plates are plastic. In that case you are paying 770 for a sticker and hill descent which isn't really worth it. Hard to get straight honest facts and no one seems to have a fx4 and one without side by side to compare.

The FX4 gets you electronic locker, shocks (junk anyway), hill descent, stickers and skid plates of which the plate under the engine is metal. For a non serious off roader they offer adequate protection.. It's not a bad deal IMO.
