Blazer,

Before you get all excited with modifications or 'upgrades' there are consequences and sacrifices involved with some of them. Some are expensive to do and some are costly to reverse. Beware of that.

Do you go off-road? Do you tow anything or haul loads or is your new truck just your 'car' and transportation?

There are more than a few guys suggesting to generally leave it like it is.

Check out this thread for Lightning Blue and maybe see what your truck would look like:

Thanks everyone for the suggestions. I don't plan on doing anything major to it. Main use for the truck is to tow my travel trailer around and take my girls to their travel softball tournaments, and a commuter for work, so I don't want to mess with a whole lot. I think I'm going to get some wheel well liners and black lug nuts to complete the all black accents. Was thinking about adding Husky mud guards too to block campsite rocks from being thrown on the paint. Possibly a bug deflector on the hood for those long highway drives.

The wheel liners do make it look nicer for sure my current and last truck came with them, the 2015 i had didn't so i took black paint and painted the rear wheel wells!!

I've got the black lugs, Husky splash guards, and rear wheel well liners on mine. See pic above for reference.

I bought the same. Magnetic grey with 6.5 bed. Added wheel well liners. Your truck looks great! I'm trying to figure out what is the best exhaust for 3.5L Eco.

Did you have any problems installing the Husky splash guards? Others have said they are a pain in the ***. Also, got a link for the lug nuts? Lots of options online, but you never know.
Your truck looks pretty sweet.

Nice truck. I saw the same color combination on the road the other day. Sounds like you have a plan; it's pretty loaded already with the 502A and Technology Package. Here are some minor mods I would do:
  • Black lugnuts and wheel liners as you said
  • Shorter antenna - went with a 13" on mine
  • Tonneau cover - endless choices here; I'm partial to Bak products
  • LED fog and license plate lights if you don't have them already
I would consider putting a little altitude on the truck at some point. Really changes the look and driving if you get the right combination:
  • Fox and ICON make great 2-inch leveling kits
  • Put in a taller rear block if you want to keep the rake
  • Tire size - many members here have gone with 275/65/20, 285/65/20, or 295/60/20 on the stock wheels. Nitto RIdge Grappler or BF Goodrich All Terrain T/A are popular choices.
  • Ford offers a FOX 2.0 kit; hopefully you can work with your dealer and not have any warranty issues if you decide to do this.
Good luck with your ride.
