FORScan - software to enable/disable features in your truck

Try connecting in this exact order:
1. With truck shut off completely (and accessory timeout period expired), insert the MXBT into the truck and turn on truck (engine off)
2. Then launch FORScan and press connect
Sometimes I get the ELM not found message but this method works when that happens to me. Also make sure you're not using FORScan version 2.3.11 because they've found bugs in that version.

3. If that doesn't work, reboot laptop and then do steps 1 & 2 again.
4. If that still doesn't work, try a different laptop to rule out laptop #1

[QUOTE=Livnitup;5503462]No, I believe you. It's hard to tell from your avatar pic but looks like your truck doesn't have tow mirrors so maybe someone with non-tow mirrors could try your values and see if they can replicate it.

So, I finally got time to try the mismatch values on my non tow mirrors. No change. When I shut the door they still unfold. I even tried to match them with the A840 in both modules but no change. This is when I lock the door with remote or by the door handle sensor. The only time I can get in and shut the door without the mirror unfolding is when I use the inside lock button to lock the doors. When I press the lock on the inside of the door I can open and shut the door as many times as I want. Then press the ignition button to have them unfold.
Maybe it is just an odd isolated thing on that truck like my auto dim headlight. I still have to uncheck the box every time I start the truck. It never remembers it like other peoples.

[QUOTE=fordtrk;5508110]
I just run into an weird thing with my mirrors, non tow. I have them set for the standard fold, but it doesn’t work, so I didn’t bother changing the settings back. I blamed the none auto fold on the truck being an XL. Switch works in the cab, so I didn’t worry about it until 2 nights ago. So I am on vacation, parked on a narrow street, so I folded the mirrors in and went indoors without locking the doors and realized I didn’t lock the doors. So hit lock on my remote. Next morning, walk outside and here are my mirrors opened back up. So I hit unlock on my remote and the mirrors closed back up. I had to push the fold button on the door to open them again. And as above, if I lock the door manually things are fine. I’m starting to wonder if I swap the fold wires on the mirror if the auto fold will work. They would be working correctly if I used the remote then.

What you're describing is what I experienced on the tow mirrors with autofold until I figured out the 18 & 19 wire swap on the connector...they would unfold with the lock button on fob and fold with the unlock button.

FYI, I loaded a tune via BDX and my DTC from correcting speedo via tire diameter in the PCM went away.

Thanks, that gave me what I wanted. It still has a problem, like when I use the remote start, where the parking lights go into disco mode, and just strobe really fast. I think it might be the switchback LED bulbs I'm using. I think the truck is trying to light both the parking and turn portions of the bulb, and the bulb doesn't know how to handle it, so it strobes real fast. As if it's trying to switch back and forth between the modes, and can't decide which mode to use, so it goes into it's disco mode. I got them at superbrightleds.com.
