I tried my Tactrix OpenPort 2.0 and I couldn't get it to work.

This is somewhat FORScan related: I helped a guy on another site with a 2017 Super Duty with wiring diagrams, etc. who purchased a used set of 2016 F150 power running boards and he was able to get it wired up and working (and controllable by cluster menu with a FORScan change) just like stock. Thought I'd put this out there because in the past year a few guys have pm'd me asking if this was possible but nobody decided to take it on here that I'm aware of. Just to be clear, his install does not piggy back off the OBDII port at all.
He was able to do this with the RBM (Running Board Module), steps & motors & pigtails and a little bit of wiring (power, ground, connections to the truck's CAN-Bus) and didn't buy or replace any harnesses.
As soon as he's done with a write-up on another site I'll provide a link to anyone that's interested.

Hey all,
I purchased a set of anzo switchbacks and LED bulbs from 4x4truckleds.com. I ordered the canbus anti-flicker harness, however I would prefer not to use them if I don’t need to. On the google doc, 726-27-01
(row 226 in the BCM tab) I see: “Front Light Outage Detection Disable when adding aftermarket LEDs/HIDs in Halogen Bucket”. If I make this change to the BCM, will I be able to run the LED’s without the canbus harness ?
Alternatively, 726-27-02 (row 234 in the BCM tab) “low beam outage cfg” seems like it would allow me to achieve the same result.
Is anyone one able to help me out, or at least guide me in the right directions ?
thanks

For any Android, iPhone 8, iPhone X users out there. Ive become aware this morning that it is possible to enable the stock Ford wireless charging tray through the APIM with ForScan.
No full details yet. A firmware upgrade is required to the APIM using files relating to the Sync 3 V2.3 package.
Just letting the rest of you know in case if anyone gets a little overambitious this winter in their spare time and needs a project.

I think one is low beam outage detection and the other is turn outage detection. If Im wrong, simply change it back.
Also, arent led bulbs in Anzos bad? Anzo's are projectors and made for HIDs. LEDs will scatter and leak light everywhere and only blind oncoming traffic which will not light up the road in front of you as well.
