First time getting connecting my truck to Forscan and have been doing ok until I try to backup the modules before doing any programming. When I go to the Configuration and Programming button I can see all my modules. However when I select one and press the play button/run service procedure button it tells me "Sorry, you need an extended license to run this function"

I just want to turn off my TPMS sensors and do a few things with the power folding mirrors. Everything I read on the Forscan page says this should be able to be done without a problem. Did I miss a step or something?

I wonder if the dpf code is the same as the 6.7l trucks?

Did you create an account on the Forscan.org site and request a license key?

I thought you only had to do that if you wanted the extended license. Forscan shows as running the standard license right now.

See above. You will need to get the license key now and it needs to be renewed every 90 days. It's free, just create the account and follow the directions on getting the key. Save your as-builts on your hard drive AND on a flash drive or CD or something. Make two copies just in case. They are very important and change back to the stock as-builts if you think that the dealer will connect to the truck to reset or check codes. When in doubt, revert back.

You need the license to make ANY changes.

as mentioned above you do need the extended license to make the changes, got that license and had success making the changes. The way it’s worded on forscans site makes it seem like you don’t, but you do.

Thanks. I was able to find it in the settings.

Also fill in your vehicle info on your signature. As you get involved with forscan and ask questions it will be easier for us to help you if we know what you have.
I will as soon as I get to a computer. I realize it still shows my old 2013. I just upgraded to a 2018 502a. Thanks for the help.

Thanks. I was able to find a workaround. I just disable CarPlay on my phone when my daughters are in the truck. That allows them to play their music over Bluetooth. If I leave CarPlay enabled then they can play over USB if they are sitting in the front. Thanks again for all of the help.
