On the topic of ForScan Auto Stop Start disable, I'm still adamant that it doesn't deactivate BMS. My truck has been sitting for 9 days in the airport parking lot in -30°C weather and on Feb 05 I received the deep sleep activated alert via Sync Connect which leads me to believe BMS is still active at some capacity.
Afterall, if BMS was disabled, I highly doubt I'd receive a BMS notification.
The fun part now (NOT!), is getting home to see if it will even start in our lovely -30°C climate.
My understanding is that there are two systems or monitors for power. The BMS which controls and monitors charging for the primary purpose of fuel economy and the battery save feature which turns off power to most systems to prevent a critically low battery state when it see's it drop below a predetermined voltage so that you will still have enough power to start the vehicle. Wouldn't deep sleep be controlled by the battery save feature and not BMS.

I believe the BMS that is being affected is the part that regulates the alternator while driving. I notice on mine that when *** is normal and working the voltage varies from 12.7 to 14.6. When I disable with ForScan it stays constant on 13.6 and never changes. That's why when checking the *** status on the cluster it says deactivated due to battery charging.
As noted previously with Auto start stop disabled, the battery charge recognition type changes from AGM to Conventional.
So to me it makes sense that the alternator output voltage changes from variable to static, but I have yet to know of any evidence which proves BMS is disabled when Auto Stop Start is tricked into being off; then again, nobody has been able to specify what exactly BMS does when it's operating normally.
Maybe it's more harmful for the battery; I really don't know.
All I can say for sure for now is that my truck has Auto Stop Start disabled via ForScan in the BCM and some system in the vehicle is still able to monitor the battery and automatically put the truck into deep sleep mode without human intervention when it's required.
Hello, new to the forum! Also, first post and new ford owner. Recently bought a ‘19 F-150 platinum.
Im using FORscan to make several changes but one I’m having issue with is the "heated/cooled and heated steering wheel to climate screen and home screen" I’m trying to get the controls to main climate screen instead of a sub menu -these are my results below..
I’ve searched the forum and can’t seem to fine the answer.
That's what we all want. So help him out! Copy all his current as built data and share it here so maybe we can find it. Does he have a tuner? That's my guess.
I just asked him if his '17 Raptor is tuned, and he said no. He only has a 'pedal commander', but it shouldn't affect anything. He took the truck in for transfer case issue, and came out of service always switching to sport mode. The only other thing they did was the seatbelt recall. Does anybody know which module should be the one to copy for the sport/normal modes? Took me forever to download all modules when I started messing with my truck. One would be a lot easier. Plus this guy is always busy. Let me know. It'd be awesome if somebody can find the magic change .

I very well could be wrong but I would think that’s controlled through the PCM and we don’t have access to make changes to the PCM with Forscan. Hopefully I’m wrong and there’s still hope.
Livnitup, I know the write works as I also tested it. I also tested it for the 2009-2014 models but forscan said they are locked after numerous failures trying.
As the other guy said will the odometer write back to zero if you max it out or do you know?
DRL Bright Mode works like a charm! The difference in light output of the running lights is astounding. Both photos are with led headlights off. Only running lights on.

Tried that on my 2017 Lariat. Didn't work, and turned my normal parking light switched position into low beams and parking lights. Not acceptable, I need parking lights only at times (entering security gates at night) and want them sometimes.
I'll give it another try when it warms up a bit and I think about turning on the autofold mirrors again.
