Hey I'm looking for any forscan info for a 2009 f150. Is there a spreadsheet for that year or year range? Looking to see what I can do to my 2009. I've done lots of things with forscan on my explorer, looking to see what there for my truck. Also does anyone know if I can use forscan to program an additional key? I was only given 1 original key when I bought it. Any links or help would be appreciated!

Next item. Motorola has a smartphone MOTO G6 available at an attractive price. Anybody know if it is compatible with SYNC 3? Ford has no idea, and I'm not a phone testbed.

Thanks all,
Tom[/QUOTE]

I've been using a Motorola G4 with my 2016 502A since new. It has worked fine with all the Sync versions and does Android Auto/Waze/other apps just fine. I would hope a newer model would also work. YMMV...

Default Looking for help getting an 8" cluster to work in my 2016 F150 XLT

So I will be installing an 8" IPC into my 2016 F150 XLT and I was wondering if it is as simple as modifications to my IPC data and flashing that to the new IPC or do I need to start with as-built data from an 8" IPC and modify its data?
I've read that the vin number is also stored in the IPC. Will there be an option to put my vin into the new IPC?
Lastly.. Anyone here able to make me a file that handles all of the issues and adds the little mods to the IPC display that every one likes (digital temp, and dte above the gauges) that I can flash to the new IPC to make sure it works in my truck?

I'm not a total newb but I have only used IDS /VCM2 and Forscan as a diagnostic scantool.

I don't have the link but look up clusters by livinitup in the vendor section. He is the same guy that started the forscan sticky. He can fully program your 8 inch cluster for miles hours idle time vin number and anuthing else you need or want. You have to use a 2016 cluster as no other works right in the 2016.

Anyone else have this issue. I have "forgotten" sync on my phone and deleted the phone from the truck, verified the setting in Forscan and reconnected via BT. The phone (iPhone X) only finds the truck as SYNC.

Anything else to try?
Others have offered good advice, not sure if you've solved your problem but I'll throw in my 2 cents worth.... I just installed a 2017 HD radio and a 2017 Nav APIM in my 2016, and when I did that I used 0E for 7D0-04-01 xxxx xxxx **xx and the Bluetooth name came up as F150. (so it worked for me when I installed a different radio and APIM, my non-Nav APIM had 00 and SYNC as the Bluetooth name, the NAV APIM now has F150 as the Bluetooth name).
Might try resetting the APIM by holding the on/off button and the right seek (=>>) button for more than 6 seconds
Might confirm the write in FORScan worked (check the values with FORScan again)

While 7D0-04-01 xxxx xxxx **xx does change the Bluetooth name to F150, it does not change the Car Play name (at least on IOS, Apple phones). The Car Play name still shows as SYNC 3 (but a new profile was created so I had two SYNC 3 profiles under Car Play - one for the non-NAV APIM, and one for the NAV APIM). Are you looking to change the Car Play/Android Auto name or the Bluetooth name? I don't know how to change the Car Play name, both the non-NAV APIM and the NAV APIM are named SYNC 3 but are different profiles.

One other thing I noticed, 7D0-04-01 xx** **xx xxxx is a Bluetooth Audio Profile Index. I don't know what that means. For what it is worth, I'll list the values in my original non-NAV APIM, the original values in the donor (Nav APIM), and what I used in the NAV APIM when I installed it.
  • Original non-NAV APIM ==> 7D0-04-01 0100 0001 00DE which had SYNC as the Bluetooth name
  • Original values in the NAV APIM (before I programmed it to my vehicle) ==> 7D0-04-01 0100 1400 0EFF which I assume had F150 as the Bluetooth name (never saw the APIM active in the donor truck so don't really know what the Bluetooth name was, just assume F150 based on the 0E)
  • Values I used in my truck with the NAV APIM ==> 7D0-04-01 0100 0001 0EEC which now displays F150 as the Bluetooth name
Hope you get it solved.

I have not yet tried anything else with this, but might try your codes today.

I am curious though, given the 2 different lines for your original non-nav and then the newer nav version, how did you come up with the 3rd line which seems to have worked for you?

my 16 has nav if that means anything when comparing lines.

thanks!

Default HID Headlight Conversion

Has anyone created a solution in FORSCAN to alleviate the issues surrounding an HID headlight conversion; specifically in a 2016 F150 XLT SCREW 4x4 w/ 302a?

I installed a GTR lighting HID kit feom Headlight Revolution (in factory halogen housings) with their Gen4 CanBus compliant ballasts. When the truck is off, the lights work perfect; bright with an excellent beam pattern and no scatter. As soon as the truck is started, they come on for a second and then go off; first the drivers side then the passenger side....sort of sequential. I can turn the switch off and back on and they both come on for about 2 seconds and then sequentially turn off.
I shut the truck off and they work fine. Start it up and they go off in 2-3 seconds.

I see some settings in FORSCAN that may solve the problem. Wanted to check here first to see if anyone has first hand experience.

It's obvious that the BCM is interfering with operation.

Thanks in advance for any assistance.

Do we know if Collision warning is done through the windshield "lane keep" sensor or the adaptive cruise control sensor in the bumper?

My 2019 has collision warning standard but not ACC. I'm curious to know if it's the same module and sensor in the bumper that handles collision warning, and whether it'd be an easy software change and button upgrade on the steering wheel to add adaptive cruise. I love adaptive cruise but I was particularly uninterested in paying $1700 for it.

I believe ACC is radar based so it should be bumper but I don’t know what else would be needed to add it.
