HID actually. Halogen buckets with aftermarket HIDs in both headlights and fog lights.

Looking at the notes in Livnitup's spreadsheet, it looks to me like you should have used 0100 0000 01xx ? "fogs and high beam remembered after off/on (** Use this if your truck has stock halogens **)"

Your value is 0001 0000 0157 which is listed as "fogs and high beam remembered after off/on (** Use this if your truck has stock LEDs **)"

Don't worry about the last two - they are the checksum and FORScan will compute the correct value for you when you write it.

I enabled the sub harness in forescan. It changed the audio output as others noted but the amp doesn't power up.

Did not use the power and ground from harness.

Only using the speaker +\- and the remote wire. All others are heat shrinked off....

any ideas what what the problem could be?

Pull the resistors and use:

726-27-01 x0xx xxxx xxxx
726-27-02 xxxx xxxx x0xx

"x" means make no changes to existing values.

These changes are specific to front and rear lamp outage detection.

Ok, i'll give those a shot. Do I absolutely need to pull the resistors?

Thanks!

I tried my new MX with Forscan last night. I had decided to turn on the numeric temp readout for both gauges. It all seems to go well, wrote the changes, had to cycle power, etc. However, no numbers above the gauges. Anyone seen this work recently on a Limited?

Has anyone tried adding 4A to their 4x4? I have a 2wd but I wouldn't be surprised if it was some programming and a switch that is different to make this work

I am probably the most computer blind person on this forum. Got Forscan loaded into the laptop which is a h/p with Windows 10. Got the MX for Windows. After many hours invested trying to turn on the Bluetooth, no luck. So it's off too the pc Doctor . Get the call that says it wasn't born with blue tooth. I do have a I pad. Can and how can Forscan be transferred or reloaded too it. I know that I will need another MX link. Thanks

You just need to buy a Bluetooth USB adapter... Another $15.00 should get you going..

As to why your PC doctor didn't tell you this I don't know,,, unless he is a politically correct doctor?

You can't use your iPad for this.
