Ok, went from page 30 yesterday to 139 today. Is there a cliff notes version of this thread? Is it the spreadsheet and is that always updated on the link on page 1?

Thanks for everyone's effort on this.

Thanks for everyone's effort on this.
Most of this thread is questions and testing that ultimately leads up to the things that are found and listed in the spreadsheets. So you can save yourself time by just referring to the spreadsheet to see everything that's currently available. However, you're gonna miss out on hundreds of pages of riveting conversation

Without the secure idle enabled the same person could hop in your truck in that scenario and drive off.
Yes,thanks I figured it out when I tested it then remembered. Before the mod I tried it and shut it off and got a message "Restart now or key will be needed" so hit start button and it will start back up as long as you do it before the cluster powers down(about 20-30secs)
Then after the mod it won't come out of park and if you shut it off you get no message or time to restart without the fob. I agree they should have had it enabled from the factory like the remote start.

I found a new feature on my Explorer Platinum IPC and I'm interested to find out if it works in the F-150. It is a seatbelt monitor. It adds a display under Vehicle>Seatbelts as well as a grey counter on the IPC.

IPC 720-02-02
xxXx xxxx

Stock value was xx8x xxxx

Changing it to B displayed a simple counter with no graphical seats.

Changing to D shows a graphical display but also displays a rear belt sensor error as I do not have a sensors in the 3rd row seats(and no 2nd row middle seat)

This doesn't work unfortunately...it doesn't add a "seatbelts" option under settings, vehicle or display anything like your picture.

Now my truck neither honks at me when I get out, nor can someone just hop in and take off.

What is secure idle? How does it differ from remote start?
Thanks

Police Engine Idle feature(AKA SecureIdle)

– This feature allows you to leave the engine running and prevents your vehicle from unauthorized use when outside of your vehicle. Allows the key to be removed from ignition while vehicle remains idling.

For keyed ignitions, it requires a button. Keyless ignitions work without any added buttons.
