I'll mess around with it tomorrow and see what I can find.

The cluster is proper kph on the sweep dial.

It's just mph on digital display and won't go to mph.

Default FORScan, Powerpoint, Global Windows Questions

Default FORScan, Powerpoint, Global Windows Questions
Hi,

I've been following this thread for about 3 months, and am still plowing my way through the 600+ posts. I have yet to find an answer for the following questions. Anyone feel like helping?

1) I've been seeing all sorts of hardware modules mentioned in the forums, When I do a scan with FORScan and my OBDLink MX, all I ever get to see are the following: APIM, PAM, BdyCM. Is it normal/common that an XLT only has these 3 modules available, or is something not working right with my scantool? See my sig below for my vehicle info.

2) I've attempted to configure the Global Windows mod, but I couldn't get it to do anything. The language used to describe operating the feature ("After pressing lock/unlock on fob, press lock/unlock again and hold button for front windows to go up/down...") is a bit vague. I interpret this as the lock and unlock button are one and the same. Did Ford make remotes with a single Lock/Unlock button? I have a 4-button remote (Lock, Unlock, Start, and Panic). Following the instructions above does not work using this remote. Any pointers/clarification here?

3) Powerpoint timeout. I have (2) USB ports, (3) 12VDC sockets, and (1) 120VAC inverter socket. Are all 6 of these items controlled simultaneously via the powerpoint timeout settings or does it control just the (3) 12VDC sockets as a group? Does the powerpoint timeout disable setting allow for 24/7 12VDC until the battery monitor kills it? If the USB ports are not included, is there any way to have them stay on?

I will greatly appreciate any relevant info.

Never mind, im a dork.

Its been mph since i bought it and it doesnt change with the miles/km choice in settings. As mentioned, i dont use it so ive never put too much effort into finding a way to change it.

I just popped out in my pj's to look again and as i was sitting there i finally noticed a little message in the lower corner of the digital speedo display itself: "hold ok for kph"

D'oh!

Any help.
From my understandings, the iPhone does not support the proper connection for pairing with the device. You can buy a wifi OBD2 reader on amazon for $20 that connects with the iPhone and shows you live parameters. iPhone will do the wifi readers but not Bluetooth

Also will that OBDLink MX work via Bluetooth with the Forscan Lite for iOS app? Darn I paid $4.99 for that application.

Seems as if it's $26 CAD now. Make sure to get the iPhone version, I use it with the dash command app, it works great! Confusing at first but lots of cool features and monitors

1. This is the adapter you have? http://www.obdlink.com/mxbt/ If so, have you ever used a different adapter in the past with FORScan? If so, you need to say no when connecting in FORScan when it brings up your truck's profile so that it re-discovers all the modules in your truck.

2. You're not seeing the DDM & PDM modules currently until you resolve #1 above so you have no way to enable global windows until you can program DDM & PDM. All of the changes below are necessary to get global window working:
BCM 726-17-01 0101 0101 014A
BCM 726-17-02 0101 0101 014B
BCM 726-30-01 0101 xxxx xxxx
DDM 740-05-01 Dxxx xx
PDM 741-05-01 Dxxx xx

3. Powerpoint timeouts are the 12V DC receptacles only.
