As Livn said, yup button disarms the system and disables the "hand on wheel"warning. Disables the lane assist too though. Just push the button when you want it back on.

You must have a light touch on the wheel. The warning comes on when the PSCM hasn't sensed a steering correction for a while. It detects even those imperceptible corrections we all make when driving.

When will FORscan be able to disable the lock out function on nav and other items when the truck begins moving? I prefer to type my addresses on the screen and it won't let me when I'm moving.

First we need to get the TV and video games to play...

Default Thanks to everyone!

Incredible thread and awesome that the community has discovered how to customize the interface of our trucks so much. Very 21st century stuff.

Just to help those who may be thinking of diving in, here are my successful mods on my 2017 Lariat running SYNC 3 v2.2:
  • Bambi mod (high beam + fogs) - why not have a choice?
  • Added heated/cooled seat virtual buttons to climate screen and home screen. I hated this reduction in functionality coming from my wife's former Ford Flex. These buttons also balance the graphics on their respective screens perfectly.
  • Lincoln-style auto folding mirrors. Helps to keep the big truck as small as possible when parking. Handy with a big vehicle. Looks trick, too.
  • Played with lots of different boot screen images. Raptor, ST, RS, Lincoln (x2), GT, Cobra (x2), Vignale (whatever that is!). Cool...takes 2 seconds to change and fun to customize.
  • Also turned off passenger seatbelt warning because my dog often resides there.

Thanks again to everyone who helped drive this development - especially Livnitup. Big thumbs up!

Has anyone ever brought their truck to the ford dealer for service with the forscan mods still on their truck?

Surely you disabled the double honk. I must have missed the boot screens. Now I have to go back and find them.

I have & have read of many others who have. Wow 3 haves in 1 sentence.
Anyway, with that said say you have enabled autofold mirrors & you're bringing it in for a mirror problem, then you should probably revert the mirrors back to your saved values.
