I agree, the larger emblem will look size appropriate. I like both. I personally think the letter grill is better with a lifted look though. That was my dilemma when choosing. I decided to do a level and 33s so I chose the letter version.

Not that it will look bad on a lifted look, I just think the letters lend to that look a little better. Again that is just my opinion.

Finally got mine back and installed from the paint shop! Left the lights out since I am waiting to find the right white lights. Did the border and ford in color match then the honey comb in gloss black. Then they went over it with three coats of clear. I'll try to get some daytime shots tomorrow

Let us know if you find a source for lights that fit properly and perhaps come in the true amber color. I hate that they shipped it with yellow lights..

Thanks!!

I think I like this look more than anything else. Hopefully someone try it first before I get the bones to do it myself.

I'm doing it. I just need to get the grille painted. I disassembled the LEDs last night and ordered ambers, because the boards I got are yellow. I'm going to paint the rim Magnetic, and the mesh black. I've held the grille up against the stock grille, and I don't think i would like an oval larger than 9". 13" would be way too big.

Incidentally, I saw a white 13th-gen truck on the highway last night that looked completely stock except for the Raptor-style grille with PTM letters. No lift, stock wheels and tires. It looked absolutely anemic. Bad.

Is there an easy way to tell if the leds will be yellow? I can't tell with mine by looking at them.

Touch a 9V battery to the leads.

Incidentally, I will probably have leftover strip LEDs when I'm done with mine. I opened the back of the light housings with a Dremel. I'm installing a 1" strip in each housing, and each strip has 3 bright amber LEDs. I'll solder those to the provided harness and seal them up with hot glue.

I'll post pictures when I'm done.
