Received my Razer grille (same as in your "mock-up" picture) last week, have to take it in for Paint-to-Match in Blue Flame this week.
Since I'm using an OEM emblem without the plastic surround you normally have on an OEM grille, I thought the F-150 Ford emblem (9 inches wide) would be too small for the size of the honeycomb mesh, so I got a Super Duty emblem (13 inches wide).
I mocked them up on my grille and will go with the 13-inch emblem.
9-inch...
13-inch (not straight, but you get the idea for size comparison)...
did you end up mounting it this way? If so, how'd you do it?
I was thinking I'd take a stainless door hinge and cut the hinges off of each piece. Get some conical head bolts (holes are countersunk so they should sit flush). Then use the other other plate and nuts to secure it to the grille on the back side. This would give me a flat surface to stick the emblem on and will be movable or removable with little effort.
Got my paramount grill and the letters swapped over. I can't decide if I want to paint
the grill though. Once its on, I won't want to take it off to paint it if I don't like it. Has
anybody seen a black F150 with the charcoal gray paramount grill on it in person?
