I used a Paramount Grill, I had to modify the F and build a new R out of wood because I'm so old fashion and can't choke up the money for a 3D printer...I mean if you could do that.
you cant easily swap the letter. the DODD letters on the Paramount grille is molded onto the grille. In theory you could put the FORD Letters (if you can find them, don't think anyone sells it separately) but you would have to modify the grille to accept the FORD letters
The O and the D can not be removed, but the other two letters can be. In the post above I cut where the F and R sit, but because I don't know Jack about chemistry I ended up damaging the R, I used Plastic wood putty which soften the ABS plastic.
Long story short I had to build a new R out of dense solid wood.
If they ever sell just the letters alone, I will replace the two.
The grille I purchased (Paramount) has removable letters for the (F) and (R) locations. I just need to find where I can purchase the F and R...
I did not see this post when i commented. My first attempt was using thin aluminum sheets painted red in the old style font, which i freehand cut, then double sided taped to the DODD, but the DODD show from behind, I just cut the F and the R sections so they didn't show from behind the aluminum plates, which you can see in my old post.
Realizing the 2017 Font was different from the old, and seeing how the Paramount grille was already set up, plus the fact I seriously didn't like my aluminum job, i just painted the letters to the bevel point.
Just got this thing finished. I am very happy with the results. I was thinking of holding off to get the bottom painted but I wanted it on and I honestly don't mind it. I wasn't very happy with the way the LED lights are mounted in the grill when they come. Finally, I decided to do the same thing as the guy in Post #756 with mounting the lights from the rear. So glad that I did this...
