Default Hubcaps vs no hubcaps

So i just noticed that the truck i bought has black plastic hubcaps things on. I took them off and cleaned up the rims. There is some curb rash and nicks on the rims. Would you rather show rims with nicks and rash or black plastic covers that looks cheap? It will be a while before i get new rims, just bought a house and then this truck, so funds are super low. In the next few weeks i may black out the emblems but not sure about the door handles. This is my first truck that isn't "bright" so i am used to lots of chrome.

Who pained the wheels, you I assume?

the shiny wheel with the center caps removed looks like somebody forgot to put them on, so I vote for making sure center caps are installed, even on the black wheels.

I don't know how the center cap on/off will impact the curb rash though.

He's not talking about the small center cap with the Ford logo on it. His truck had wheel skins, similar to the trucks that come with a steel wheel covered with a chrome skin.

I have the center caps, just didn't install them yet (they are blue and looks weird with the red). I'm just wondering if other people would rather drive around with cheap plastic wheel covers or not.

From the picture they look pretty good. For me personally, it would depend if it's noticeable that they are covers. If not, then I would rock them in replace of seeing curb rash.

No one has noticed that they are covers until i point it out. But also no one noticed the curb rash or nicks either. The covers are way easier to clean then the rims.

IMHO, loose the caps, save some funds, powdercoat wheels. 'Nuff said.

Did not even know they made those. Just for laughs, if someone is doing something that gives the small center caps curb rash, they are doing it wrong

My wife's car has the plastic caps. I'm a fan. Unless you prefer the stock wheels
