Bumping this for more feedback on the wheelskin/covers. Seems like everyone is happy with them so far.

I dig em. I wouldn’t know they were covers unless you told me. Would probably be more durable than plastidipping the entire wheel I presume.

The wife's 2014 Charger has 20" OEM "chrome" wheels that are steel wheels with a chrome plastic skin bonded to the steel wheel. At 93k miles and 8 years old the plastic skins still look like new. Except where she has curbed the **** out of the edges. 🤔😏 Based on this, I will take the fake skins over real chrome any day for longevity and ease of cleaning.

NECRO!

Those are GREAT rims!
Ford Performance sells them matte black for $1300+ a set.

I just got a black truck and am blacking it out. Didn’t want to spend the money to powder coat yet so got WheelSkins yesterday. I think I’ll get black lug nuts and black caps next.

Your truck looks sporty with that style of rim and looks good either way, but black makes it look bold. You can have the WheelsSkins painted as well.

Truck not washed for 2 months, brand new WheelSkins.

they are not skins.. they are wheel covers just like most cars had when there were no alloy wheels. the only other 2 alternatives were hub caps and nothing at all. your wheel covers look good. only giveaway is the tire inflation stem area.

Also to respond to an earlier post, mine are glossy, not satin or matte. The ABS is painted.

You can BARELY see the edge of the rim, but barely and only from the extreme side angle. Not an issue. But the tire inflator is the giveaway, but even that’s not bad. A quick shot from a rattle can would legit take care of that.

I decided to get silicon decals to put over my blue Ford center caps for $15. That way if I sell, everything is reversible in a couple years. Debating solid black or maybe a Punisher logo since almost all rims have a center logo and seems almost too plain without some detail. LOL

Getting black Gorilla lugs. Might as well go all the way.

Here’s the sheet for the covers:

Close-up of the valves. The one super-close up I took pic of the worst possible view to show for reference.

The black ABS applied wheelskinz make the inset channel around the lug nuts narrower. I got a 1/2” drive 13/16” thin wall lug nut socket and a 25” breaker bar to use as a lug wrench to hopefully protect the black 13/16" Gorilla lug nuts (#61148FSBC for Ford OEM stock alloy rims). Haven't put them on because the 13"/16" socket doesn't fit on the OEM lug nuts, they must be larger.
I thought about getting spline lug nuts, but I could see how the might hurt me one day rather than help me. Or cheaper lug nuts like RHI, but whatever.

I’m digging the look black look overall but need to treat the black plastic that is aging.
