Recommend everyone in this knocking and leaking moonroof forum fill out and send to Ford in Dearfield the Motor Vehicle Defect Form (you can find a blank copy under Florida's Lemon Law sight by the state attorney Pam Bondi. Send it registered or certified mail and return receipt. You will here from Ford legal immediately and get the right ***** moving for Ford Engineers to see your truck. If we all do this we might finally see some movement. My truck has been in the shop this week for five days. They told me they tightened the bolts again. Just adding to my pile of service receipts on the truck for the same problem. Florida Lemon Law only requires it to be in the shop three times for the same problem! Send in your defect forms!

Got truck back after five days at dealer and will share the fifth attempt at a fix:
"Removed sunroof glass. Cleaned, lubricated track and seals, insulated troff springs with felt tape, road tested by field service engineer to verify no noise at this time."
Let's see how long this will last before knocking returns....

Not that it really matters, but I think you're both right. The Ford marketing literature calls the 2015 moonroof "Panoramic"' the 2016 "Vista". The technical literature for adjusting the 2015 (see my directions for accessing these instructions above under post #355) refers to it as "Vista Roof Opening Panel". These were republished 9/30/2015. So, it looks to me that you're both right. I think the more relevant info is the reference to the frame being changed from a manufacturing standpoint. I had my entire frame/track assembly changed (part #FL3Z-16502C22-A) out last week and have now put 600 miles on the truck without a single sound. I feels rock solid. The dealer did a great job removing the headliner and reinstalling it. You can't tell. There are no new rattles whatsoever. The glass panels were reused. I have no clue whether this part number is the old style or new style brigandtall is referring to but something is working so far. I'm hoping there is a difference in design that will permanently fix this problem but only time will tell. In the meantime I have the truck back that I loved when I first took delivery in April, 2015.

Mine was a later build 2015 Vista that rattled and squeak so bad. One of the major reasons why I got rid of the F150 drove me nuts

Thanks for the update, I hope it holds up, especially after you have taken the brave decision to have your truck torn apart. I'm still reluctant, as mine does not have any water leaks, or wind noise even when going through an automated car wash, also mine has been noise free since applying the Meguiars #40, eight weeks ago. You're also right, it doesn't matter what the marketing people call it ... Vista or panoramic it's still the same dual panel moonroof. With the same part number for both 2015 and 2106. Interesting the Ford parts catalogue for #FL3Z-16502C22-A describes it as a SUNROOF glass housing.

About 3 weeks and a couple thousand miles later after having the track replaced, my knocking noise is still gone and I'm still a happy camper!
