The TSB just has them cleaning the rubber seals and applying Krytox grease. No replacement of any parts. This reminds me of my C6 vette with a creaking popping top that Chevrolet never fixed. Here we go again...

Cut or tie the wind deflector to make it stable.

How hard is it for a company that mass produces trucks and chargers high dollar for them to get a fix and stop the bs we are all going through.

Just venting because i can't stand to think about going to the dealership again and tell them the same stuff is still broke!

if i were you i would get a lawyer ford will buy the truck back.

I had my platinum in again last week to my original dealer and the service tech stated he adjusted and lubricated the vent shade arms and since then everything has been quiet. The sales manager that I've been buying from for the last 20 years or so offered me a deal that I couldn't refuse so tomorrow I'm picking up a new 2016 Platinum Metallic loaded. We'll see how that works out.

Had my 2015 platinum in for service at my local Ford dealer Monday and the tech as well as the service manager both aknowledged that the noise was there and unacceptable. After consultation with Ford they are going to apply grease etc. as per the TSB currently in place. I'm not very hopeful that this will cure the problem though as I think Ford is still trying to figure out the real fix. I had a first generation 4 door Raptor with a slip yoke hang up problem and at first they applied a different grease to the splines on the drive shaft with a small improvement. Eventually they replaced the drive shaft completely solving the problem. Could be same scenario at work here. We shall see. Do I have a bowtie in my future? Hope not but we shall see.

I think you're absolutely correct. It would be nice if some specialty grease and cleaning (per the TSB) would cure the problem but it does seem to be a bit of a stretch. Prior to the TSB I had the entire frame/track replaced and, after 900 miles, haven't heard a noise. As a precaution I will administer the TSB steps as it seems very easy. The grease is not readily available at my various area Ford dealers so I had to order it online. Gold might be cheaper. I hope the TSB works for you.

FWIW, there are a few folks on this forum that have lubed their sunroof and solved their problem prior to the TSB. Hopefully this solves the issue without any major reconstruction.

I lubed mine generously with the Meguires product mentioned above 3 different times & it did nothing for my rattling.

Maybe you should try what was recommended in the TSB.

I have the Meguires 40 product. While I'm sure it's a fine product for certain applications there is absolutely no comparison between that and the Rotunda Krytox Grease (Part #164-R4906) in terms of viscosity and lubricating qualities. Also please note that Step 9 (figure 4) of TSB 16-0020 also calls for greasing the "openings of the left and right set plates." Meguires can't do that, only the noted grease can. I would certainly try the TSB using everything as they describe. Worse case is you pay for the grease and it doesn't work. The grease is about $15 for a 1/4 oz. tube. Good luck.
